Between my nautical charts, cetacean skeletons and exploration tools, each object recalls the beginnings of modern oceanography.  <\/p><p>Today, the museum is still <strong>a place of transmission<\/strong>. Temporary exhibitions combine art and science, aquariums are used for research, and the foundation continues to work to safeguard marine species. <\/p><p>But there&#8217;s more to the museum than its foundations.
